Mouthy friends are enemies from the "Your Caring Friends" faction. They will chase Cordy around the room, similar to ferals, and can phase out to move through obstacles. Occasionally they will stop and attack Cordy using an attack similar to that of the Obsolete Operator, via sending spikes up through the floor. But unlike the Operator, friends do not attack multiple times during a single stop and there is always a small distance between their attacks should multiple Mouthy Friends be present in the room.
